University Courses
Extension programs, workshops and professional development for universities and educational institutions
University continuing education covers short-term courses, workshops, extension programs and professional development offered within the academic context. It differs from traditional degree programs by having reduced workload, practical focus and flexibility to meet market demands.
With a Master's degree, specialization and experience as a Udemy instructor, I develop courses that combine academic rigor with accessible teaching. Each program is custom-designed for the institution's needs and target audience.
What it isUniversity extension education
University extension courses are teaching modalities that bring academic knowledge to the community, with flexible workload and focus on practical application. Public and private universities offer these programs to meet extension goals and generate revenue. E-learning became dominant post-pandemic, expanding the reach of these courses. Key applications include:
- Extension and professional development courses for the academic community
- Quick workshops (4-8 hours) for events and academic weeks
- Corporate training programs for companies and institutions
- Online courses on platforms like Udemy, Hotmart and Sympla
- Extension curricularization required by education authorities

FAQFrequently asked questions
What's the difference between extension and free courses?
Extension courses are linked to a higher education institution, with academic registration and the possibility of a university certificate. Free courses don't require institutional affiliation and have simpler regulation. Both are valid for resumes, but extension courses carry more academic weight.
Do you produce the course materials?
Yes. I create slides, handouts, exercises, case studies and video lessons as needed. The material is custom-developed for the course and remains as a legacy for the institution, reusable in future editions.
How long does it take to structure an extension course?
Full planning — from diagnosis to academic approval — takes 2 to 4 weeks. Existing courses in my portfolio can be adapted in less time. Execution depends on the defined workload.
Do you teach in-person, online or both?
Both. I have experience in all three formats: in-person, live online (synchronous) and self-paced EaD with recorded video lessons. The format choice depends on the target audience, available infrastructure and pedagogical objectives.
Does the institution need EaD infrastructure?
Not necessarily. I can use platforms like Udemy, Hotmart or Sympla to host content, or work within the institution's own LMS (Moodle, Blackboard, Canvas). The solution is defined in the initial diagnosis.
